Bombers make a range of special edition racquets, each one for one of the world’s top players or teams. They are all colour themed and carry the players signature alongside the racquet name on the distinctive Bombers label around the cane.

The six racquets are:

Pink Ice / Girl Talk – The racquet designed by Bombers for one of the top lady players in the world, Lucy Grills. With its signature pink and white colour combination this racquet stands out from the crowd and ensures you and your polocrosse skills catch the eye.

Ice Man – The second racquet made for Jimmy Grills, the iconic Australian player and captain of their world cup team in 2024. The Blue and white colour theme are a tribute to his ice cool demeanour under pressure

The Panther – Made for the Australian international player, Matt Davison. Its distinctive orange and white theme is most likely a tribute to his hair colour. It is named after the backwards pass that he loves to do (not the jungle cat) and has proved very popular around the world.

The Queenslander – made for Lauren Sillitoe, who was part of Australia’s world cup winning team in 2019, its colour theme mirrors the Queensland state colours of claret and white.

The sharpshooter – The all black original limited edition racquet, made for Jimmy Grills, still proves very popular. After all, black is always cool!

The Kiwi – This black and white racquet is made for the New Zealand team. It copies the iconic colours of the New Zealand flag and playing shirts and is a must have for fans of New Zealand polocrosse!

These limited edition racquets are available with plastic or cane heads.

Racquets will also vary in terms of weight, cane thickness and net settings (though nets can be adjusted and will change slightly as they are used). Thicker caned racquets tend to be heavier and less flexible. Bombers use a system of A to G to denominate the weight of the racquet, with A being the lightest and G the heaviest.
